WOODROW WILSON AND THE TREATY OF VERSAILLES
WILSON’s IDEAS

Woodrow Wilson, president of the United States went to the Versailles Treaty with the goal of creating a more peaceful world. He wanted to stop future world wars from happening. To do this he wanted to create a “Peace Without Victory,” in other words, a peace where nobody was punished. To help insure this, Wilson came up with a plan called the 14 points. The fourteen points included many ideas about what to do with the defeated nations and how to rebuild Europe. Some of the most important points included:
