The clitoris Situated at the end of the inner lips which are around the labia minora is the clitoris itself, which is an internal part of the structure. It consists of erectile tissue which are well supplied by nerves. The clitoris also has glands that prepuce and produces a white, thick, oily substance called segma. During sexual excitement, the clitoris becomes just like a penis. It is also supplied with blood by artery called the dorsal artery. This artery has direct connections with blood from the heart and so if cut it can bleed and be difficult to stop. This is what is cut and a little removed completely during female circumcision.
