1919 - He Initiated a “Back to Africa” Movement
1919 - Mr. Garvey owned and operated the “Black Star Line Steam Ship Corporation.” The “Black Star Line” and its successor company the “Black Cross Navigation and Trading Company,” operated four ship companies that carried passengers and cargo between the U.S and Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti and Costa Rico.
