*DIY Holiday and Winter Decorations by Emerson Domke

-Cut out green felt in the shape of a Christmas tree, tape it to a wall, and put felt ornament pieces on it for an easy decoration. For Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, do the same with felt pieces in the shape of a menorah or kinara with felt candles that can be attached.

-Make your own wreath using objects gathered from nature.

-Decorate pinecones or fresh fruit with glitter and place them on a table or hang them on the tree.

-Put tape and a bow on a throw pillow to make it look like a festive gift.

-Paint golf balls and put them on strings to make unique ornaments or decorate them to look like fruit for Kwanzaa.

-Paint toilet paper rolls to look like snowmen, carolers, or Santas and stand them up on end on a table.

-Fasten three popsicle sticks together in the middle with string, tape, or glue, and decorate them with paint and glitter to look like a snowflake.

-Connect six popsicle sticks in the form of two triangles and decorate them with blue paint and glitter to look like a Star of David.

-Fold your own dreidel out of paper, using six square sides and four triangular sides. Put a toothpick or a popsicle stick through the middle for a spinner. Finally, color the symbols with crayons, colored pencils, markers, etc.

-Make a chain of countdown rings in red and green or blue and white and cut a ring for each day that you get closer to Christmas, Kwanzaa, or Hanukkah.
