The Committee on Public Information- The Committee on Public Information was Washington’s propaganda agency, and was headed by former muckraking journalist George Creel.

Creel used propaganda, biased communication designed to influence peoples’ thoughts and actions.
The CPI sent out 75,000 volunteers known as “four-minute men” to deliver patriotic speeches
Posters and billboards, pamphlets and leaflets were sent around the country and the world containing President Wilson’s war message
