Conclusion

According to the United States Census Bureau, it is estimated there are over 7 billion people in the world right now. Of those 7 billion, about 315 million are in the United States (U.S. and World Population Clock). That means there are roughly 385 million people from another country and from a different culture. There are 385 million chances to come into contact with somebody of a different culture than your own. How are you going to react to them? More importantly, as a caregiver, how are you going to treat them? No matter what diverse populations health care providers encounter and no matter what they have studied, they need to do it with respect, patience, and compassion to the unique traditions in their patients.
