  • White teachers sent to teach on reservations tried to children to Christianity while telling them tribal beliefs were wrong

    2. Railroads advertised that dry desert land was fertile….

    3. – 1862, promised settlers 160 acres of land for $1.65 an acre after working it for six months OR for free after five years
