Directions: Read Federalist #10 and #51 (links below). Engage the text and take notes for yourself. Be able to answer the following questions in your notes:

  1. What is Madison’s thesis (for each essay)?

  2. What are his supporting arguments (for each essay)?

  3. What’s your take on Madison’s appeal to ratify the constitution? Do you agree or disagree? Explain.

We will have a class discussion on the Federalist Papers in class.
