Purpose Statement:
Summarize the key decision points leading up to the attack on Pearl Harbor by the Imperial Japanese Navy on the morning of December 7, 1941.
BLUF:
On the morning of December 7, 1941, The Imperial Japanese Navy launched an attack in which hundreds of Japanese fighter planes bombarded the U.S. Naval Fleet stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. A series of key decisions were made by the Japanese Navy but the biggest one was why they decided to attack the U.S. fleet. The attack resulted in the destruction of 4 battleships, 188 aircraft, and almost 2,500 deaths.
