Prerequisite: 2 Geometry credits or instructor approval
Trigonometry is the study of triangle measurement and the unit circle. Many real-world problems (e.g., navigation and surveying) require the utilization of triangles in their solutions. Trigonometry also provides an important mathematical connection between geometry and algebra.
*For the college bound student with a strong math/science emphasis, Trigonometry must be taken concurrently with either:
• first or second semester Algebra II,
• first semester Applications of Algebra, or
• first semester Pre-calculus
