Prerequisite: Junior or Senior status Students study myths and legends from around the world with the goal of understanding and appreciating the rich, imaginative ways in which ancient peoples attempted to resolve their questions concerning the mysteries and values of human existence. The timelessness of these stories as classic cornerstones of the Western and world cultures and literature is also stressed. By writing their own myths and their own personal heroic journey stories, students are encouraged to recognize and examine their own roles in the ongoing human story.
