In this LAP, each student will learn the tools necessary to prepare a research-based speech. This LAP also focuses on the importance of honing one’s listening skills and the etiquette necessary to be an attentive and effective member of an audience.
The student will chose a subject for persuasive speech, narrow that subject and compose a focused thesis statement.
The student will recognize and demonstrate the steps to being a focused audience member.
The student will evaluate their own presentation, as well as one of their peers.
The student will identify and explain components of the listening process.
