Instructional Plan- after detailing each plan component, indicate the approximate time allocated to carry out that part.

Opening: We will do one more different subtraction activity as a whole entire class this time to finish up our fun repetitious review of this website. https://sites.google.com/a/leahfullenkamp.com/mrs-fullenkamp/math-1/subtraction.

Instruction: I will explain how they will be teaching a lesson and what my expectations are very clearly. I will put my rubric on the smart board so they know exactly what they should teach and how.

Practice: The students will have to create a short minilessons on teaching how to subtract. They need to use the easel just as I would and have the students sit on the carpet. Each group will get a chance to teach subtraction. Their peers will review them on a rubric on whether or not the group was clear and made subtraction easy to understand.

Closing: We will all have a short class discussion on how we felt, was it difficult teaching and etc. I will give them time to share aloud and moments to speak. I think this will be extremely beneficial!

After Assessment: The students will write a reflection in their journals of how they felt while it was their group’s turn and then give it to me. I will write them an interactive note back and return the next day.
