This course traces the path of humanity from earliest development around 8,000 BCE to the present day. al areas of the world are considered both separately and in comparison with other societies at the same time in history, as well as across time in history. Students will build the historical knowledge and analytical skills needed in order to navigate a comprehensive survey of historical developments. Students hone analytical and interpretative skills by analyzing primary source documents and investigating explicit comparisons among and within societies. Students will also complete analytical writing assignments throughout the course. This course prepares students to take the Advanced Placement exam for college credit in world history.
