Schüco honoured for its windows and façades At this year’s Architects’ Darling® Awards for the construction industry’s most coveted solutions, Schüco International KG was honoured with “Gold” in the area of façades and “Silver” in the area of windows at a gala event in Celle. This is already the fourth time that the “golden phoenix” has been bestowed upon the building product manufacturers most favoured by German architects. This time, Schüco won no fewer than two awards, receiving “Gold” in the area of façades and “Silver” in the area of windows. The Architects’ Darling® Awards are based on a survey of 1700 architects and developers in Germany.
For Schüco, this honour demonstrates that the Bielefeld company is held in the highest esteem for more than 60 years of commitment to the consistent development of new window and façade concepts for a wide variety of uses. In doing so, the focus is always on the effective combination of energy-efficiency, security and the automation of central building functions, coupled with impressive design right down to the smallest detail. It is this power of innovation which impresses architects and developers not only in Germany, but worldwide.
BAU 2015 will see Schüco present its latest product and project solutions for newbuilds and existing buildings at Stand 301 in Hall B1. Here Schüco will showcase numerous potential solutions for intelligently linked and energy-efficient residential and commercial buildings that conserve natural resources whilst offering maximum design freedom for the creative conception of buildings. A specific instance of this is the Schüco Parametric System, which was introduced as a prototype two years ago in Munich and which will be ready for the market and series production when it is presented in January 2015.
