Pro-life Decision When Food Becomes Major Regulator of Internal Distress.

Throughout the history of human existence food played more than just a role of basic survival necessity as it was always also a way of social interaction and a powerful agent in formation of basic attachments between human beings. Within the context of eating there are much deeper intimate dynamics as it appears at first sight, as eating is not only survival oriented but it also introduces relationship and belonging within itself. In the early beginnings of human life the meaning of nourishment lies within the context of caring for a new born. As such, eating represents a basic relationship between humans and the outer world. As a child grows this relationship evolves to a relationship towards the self where food can become an element of reward or punishment in searching of answers to human internal struggles and hardships. In this article we will try to develop understanding of the moments that can bring a person even to life threatening situations and try to answer the question about the key properties of the turning point the individual has to face when deciding for life.
