Saint of God, intercede for us!

O single-handed fighter and myriad-trophied victor, O wise athlete of Christ, grant me to sing the praises of thy struggles and contest, which thou barest manfully, aflame with the love of Christ, in Whom thou livest in great joy.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

With thy skilled hand in battles, thou didst show thyself to be a courageous new David; for as he cast down and triumphed over Goliath, so didst thou triumph also over the adversary with the shafts of thy words, O George, who wearest the laurel.

Both now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

How inexpressible, beautiful, and terrible is thy strange childbearing, O Maiden! For thou dost suckle in the flesh the All-perfect God as a babe at the breast. O strange report, thou Mother who knewest not man yet rearest a babe!

FIRST KATAVASIA OF THE PASCHAL CANON IN TONE ONE

It is the day of Resurrection, let us be radiant, O ye peoples; Pascha, the Lord’s Pascha; for Christ God hath brought us from death unto life, and from earth unto Heaven as we sing the triumphal hymn.

Christ is risen from the dead trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs, bestowing life. (Thrice)
Jesus is risen from the tomb, as He foretold, and hath bestowed life eternal upon us, and great mercy.

The Paschal Canon IN Tone ONE

Third Ode

Come, let us drink a new drink, not one marvelously brought forth from a barren rock, but the Source of incorruption, which springeth forth from the grave of Christ, in Whom we are established.

Glory to Thy Holy Resurrection, O Lord!

Now are all things filled with light; Heaven and earth, and the nethermost regions of the earth. Let all creation, therefore, celebrate the arising of Christ, whereby it is established.

Glory to Thy Holy Resurrection, O Lord!

Yesterday I was buried with Thee, O Christ, and today I arise with Thine arising. Yesterday was I crucified with Thee; do Thou Thyself glorify me with Thee, O Savior, in Thy Kingdom.

The ST. GEORGE Canon IN Tone TWO

Third Ode

Saint of God, intercede for us!

The all-glorious memorial of the servant hath shined upon us as a companion of the Resurrection of Christ, whereon let us gather, ye faithful, and joyfully keep the feast.

Saint of God, intercede for us!

Be glad, O earth and heavens, skip with joy, ye mountains and all ye hills; for the Martyr George poureth rains of miracles upon us from above.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.

All the earth and every tribe of mortals, Heaven and the army of Angles, rejoice together; for now George, Christ’s chief commander, goeth from earth to Heaven.

Both now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Rejoice, O Mariam, be of good cheer; for though the Cross of thy Son yesterday pierced they heart like a sword, He is risen from the tomb as from a bridal chamber.

THIRD KATAVASIA OF THE PASCHAL CANON IN TONE ONE

Come, let us drink a new drink, not one marvelously brought forth from a barren rock, but the Source of incorruption, which springeth forth from the grave of Christ, in Whom we are established.

Christ is risen from the dead trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs, bestowing life. (Thrice)
Jesus is risen from the tomb as He foretold, and hath bestowed life eternal upon us, and great mercy.
THE LITTLE LITANY

Deacon: Again and again, in peace, let us pray to the Lord.

Choir: Lord, have mercy.
Deacon: Help us; save us; have mercy on us; and keep us, O God, by Thy grace.
Choir: Lord, have mercy.
Deacon: Calling to remembrance our all-holy, immaculate, most-blessed and glorious Lady Theotokos and ever-virgin Mary, with all the saints: let us commend ourselves and each other, and all our life unto Christ our God.
Choir: To Thee, O Lord.
Priest: For Thou art our God, and unto Thee do we ascribe glory: to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; now and ever, and unto ages of ages.
Choir: Amen.
The Hypakoe of pascha in Tone four

Mary and her companions came before the dawn and found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher and heard from the angel: Why do you seek the One who dwelleth in eternal light as mortal man among the dead? Behold the grave clothes. God quickly and proclaim to the world that the Lord is risen, and hath put death to death; for He is the Son of God, the Saviour of mankind.

The KONTAKION of pascha in Tone EIGHT

Though Thou, O Deathless One, didst descend into the grave, Thou didst destroy the power of hell and, as Victor Thou didst rise again, O Christ our God.  Thou didst greet the ointment bearing women saying, Rejoice!  Thou didst bestow peace upon Thy Disciples, and Resurrection upon those that are fallen.

The Paschal Canon IN Tone ONE

Fourth Ode

Let the Prophet Abbacum, the proclaimer of diving things, keep the divine watch with us, and show forth the radiant Angel who with resounding voice hath declared: Today doth bring salvation to the world, for Christ is risen as omnipotent.
