Old African Proverbs #1

GC2361
Roy Merritt who, with his wife Kathy, has spent his life as a missionary in Africa, sent me several pages of old African proverbs. Here are eight of them.
He who hunts two rats at the same time catches none.
The sky is too big for two birds to clash.
If you are filled with pride, then you will have no room for wisdom.
He who does not look ahead always remains behind.
You may well have two legs but you still can't climb two trees at the same time.
Those who like to play with dogs are likely to get their clothes torn.
Advise and counsel him; if he does not listen, let adversity teach him.
Old proverbs from out of Africa today on George Merritt's God & Country.
