Irene Fidler discharged 9 Nov. Mrs Elliott reported that she had made application to the County Authorities for maintenance on account of abscess having intervened, & that £2/12/6 a week would be granted less any amount paid by the patient. In this case Irene had paid £4/10/0, which ends her obligation.

A bill of £19 odd to be paid to Mr Pendock.

Mrs Bawn’s assessment was referred to the Matron for further enquiries.

Re Irene Fidler’s case; correspondence with the County Authorities still taking place.

Re Mrs Crew’s assessment; her husband’s being thrown out of work by the bad weather, it was agreed she should only be charged 10/- instead of 12/6.

It was agreed that ‘dim lights’ should be installed in all wards.

A light should be installed in the coal shed.

£2/7/0 received from the Central (London) Thank Offering Fund for the King’s recovery.



Rev EM Bald asked to make further enquiries at the Bristol Fund Office re the Frenchay Church Collection.

Mrs Rowland, Yate Rd, Iron Acton, admitted 21 Nov at 25/- a week plus 30/- maternity fee.

Mrs Kendall, Rock Cottage, Iron Acton, admitted 22 Nov at 30/- a week plus 30/- maternity fee. Baby boy born same day.

Mr Sidney Smart, 37 Staple Hill Rd, admitted 2 Dec at 12/6 a week, viz 10/- old age pension & 2/6 from daughter.
