Mrs William Hutton of Staple Hill admitted 21 July at 30/- a week plus 30/- maternity fee. Her baby boy was born 22 July.

Ivy Huish of Winterbourne was re-admitted 21 July at 21/-, Messrs Carsons being responsible for the payment.

Mrs Alfred Gardiner of Earthcott, Alveston, admitted 24 July at 30/- a week plus 30/- maternity fee. Her baby boy was born 25 July.

The Hospital Guild, Kingswood & District, pay 21/- a week or 3/- a day for their members.



Dr Hubbard had accepted a place on the Committee.

Mr Crossman advised keeping Nurse Lark for a third week. Agreed.

The Cook, Mrs Boud aged 40, began her work on Wednesday 25 July. She had good references and so far seems satisfactory.

The Fete on 14 July in the grounds of Grove House, Frenchay, realized about £136/13/-, the expenses being a little over £30. The children’s purses amounted to £11/6/-. About 1500 people paid to enter.

Mrs Guest stated that the adverse balance at the bank is £768.

Mrs Harding has now organised a flag day for 18 August to take place from the Portcullis, Staple Hill, to Wotton-under-Edge.
