Miss Taylor from Minehead was interviewed. She is fully qualified but little general experience. Matron felt that Nurse Gooch, being older and having worked with a surgeon, would be more useful. She was also available to come this week and to accept £60 salary. Miss Taylor asked for £65 and wanted to have a holiday before taking up fresh work.
