Jerry L. Wright, 58, North Manchester, passed away at 4 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2005 at Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
He was born Nov. 29, 1946 in Rochester to Richard V. and Mary A. Ogle Wright. He married Glenna E. Graybill March 23, 2001, and she survives.
Wright graduated from North Miami High School in 1964, and from Sam's Technical Institute, which is now ITT in Indianapolis, in 1966, receiving an associate's degree in tool engineering. He served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968, and was a tooling engineer at Controls, North Manchester, from 1983 to 1996. Later he was administrator of Moose lodges in Huntington, North Manchester, Greenwood and Plymouth, and was a Moose Lodge member since 1979.
In addition, he was a member of the First Brethren Church, North Manchester, and an avid golfer.
Survivors besides his wife include a son, Greg Wright, Indianapolis; a daughter, Mindy Flora and husband Shane, North Manchester; two step-daughters, Sandi Fruitt, North Manchester, and Cindy R. Dyson and husband Aaron, Wabash; a brother, Richard Wright and wife Patricia, Lafayette; a sister, Connie Judy, Peru; three grandchildren, Stephanie and Brian Wright, both of Indianapolis, and Dellynn Benton, North Manchester; and three step-grandchildren, Kristopher Fruitt, North Manchester, and Colton and Connor Ringel, both of Wabash.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, James Wright.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Brethren Church, North Manchester, with Pastor Kurt Stout officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester. Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at DeLaughter-McKee Mortuary, North Manchester Chapel,1401 SR 114 W., and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
