Byron B. Wilson, 85, Peru, passed away at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at Miller's Merry Manor after an extended illness.
He was born Jan. 1, 1920 in Cass County to Joseph F. and Mary Irma Lockwood Wilson. He married Mary C. Shrock Dec. 11, 1938, and she survives.
Wilson retired from Sears and the Miami County Highway Department. He also was a former warrant officer for the National Guard. In addition, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Parkview United Methodist Church, the Amateur Radio Club, the Miami County Historical Society, Miami County Civil Defense, and a former member of the Washington Township Advisory Board.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, Peru, with Pastors J. Robert Clark and Ken Walker officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Amateur Club and/or Parkview United Methodist Church.
