E. MISCELLANEOUS

1)  SPECIAL CONSIDERATION:  Please consider whether any of the following issues or deadlines require special treatment or should be include in the deadline calculators:

deadlines to set status or scheduling conference
motions to recuse/excuse judge
summary judgment
motions for reconsideration
motions for permission to introduce testimony by telephone
special pleadings associated with claims against licensed professionals (such as a physician)
punitive damages claims
designating non-parties at fault

2)  MAIL RULE:  How is the 3-day mail rule handled in your jurisdiction?  For example, are the 3 days added on directly to deadlines calculated in court days so that a 6 court day deadline becomes 9 court days if the triggering event is served by mail?  Or, if a deadline is calculated in court days, are the 3 days calculated in calendar days? ____ And if so, are the 3 days added before the court days are calculated or after?

            YOUR RESPONSE:

3)  COURT DAYS v. CALENDAR DAYS CUTOFF:  Calculate in Court Days those deadlines that expire in ____ or fewer days

4)  COURT HOLIDAYS: Please give careful consideration to whether either federal and state holidays impact the calculation of court days:

Mark each court holiday that applies with an “X”
(modify, delete or add holidays and dates as desired)
