EXTENSION PUBLICATIONS AND ACTIVITIES
eXtension* Community of Practice-Water Conservation for Lawn and Landscape
On July 18, 2012, the Water Conservation for Lawn and Landscape Community of Practice was officially launched within the eXtension learning environment. To date, we have posted 298 information pages, 25 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), and 32 news articles. A Facebook page was launched for the CoP in October 2012 and a Scoop.it! page was launched in June 2013. We have also built a community comprised of 3 leaders and 98 Cooperative Extension faculty across the country, who are charged with collaborating to produce and review content, generating responses to FAQs, and answering questions posed through the Ask an Expert feature of the site.
*eXtension is an online environment where university content providers gather and produce new educational and information resources on wide-ranging topics. Information is available to students, researchers, clinicians, professors, as well as the general public, at any time from any Internet connection, helping to answer real-life questions in real-time.
