1. What comes to you from reading the proverbs and sayings at the beginning of the article?
2. After reading the analysis of individualism in the “west” what seems most significant? What seems most different from your own experience or from the culture in which you have been formed?
3. What else would you add so as to better understand the phenomenon of individualism in our contemporary societies?

Analysis of the situation of our formation communities
4. The text indicates some areas or some signs by which we can perceive individualism in our formation communities.
4.1. What is the origin of these expressions of individualism? In brothers who are already perpetually professed/ordained? In the young people coming to us? In both groups? How?
4.2. Do you see some of these signs of individualism indicated in the article in your community, in the young people in formation? Do you see other signs in your community, in the young brothers in formation?
4.3. Concretely, as regards the vowed life, where do you find individualistic ways of living chastity, poverty and obedience?
