In this point, you have to introduce to the readers the main facts about the author of the play. You need not to go deep such as unusual dates and etc. You should describe the main points of the author’s life and career with the limits kept in mind.
In this point, you are going to invite the readers into your argument. Introduce means to lead the readers inward. Introduction is the most focusing point in any literary work and it also like as the basis of your writing, so make sure that your writing in the introduction can win the interest of the readers. You should write introduction in limits with the most affective explanation.
You can describe the main purpose of the play in this section. You can tell the telling (theme) of the play. You only have to keep in mind that the point of the theme should be around 8 – 10 lines long. You can also add a quote related to the theme in this section.
Characters in the Play
Brief report of each character related with the play. Describe only one main thing about the character.
You have to tell about the story’s main (Opening/Starting) scene. It should contain around 10 lines. You have to tell the readers how the play opens. Your description should like that the reader can become curious about what comes next.
Summary is the point in which the story of the play has described.
Points to Keep in Mind:
Summary should be clear to those who are unaware of the play.
Summary should be written in main points of the play. You cannot go beyond of the main points. Summary must be as brief as possible.
No specific details should be described to the summary such as dates and etc unless it is essential.
Summary should contain good paragraphs. Each point must have topic sentence, supporting sentence and a concluding sentence following the orders. The paragraph should be written in the flow that readers can be absorbed in the reading.
In this section, you should share final thoughts or information on the topic. You have to keep in mind three things in conclusion:
Conclusion should have 7 – 10 lines/sentence.
It must have concluding thoughts.
Your writing should make the readers think about your description of the play after reading it. It should give the readers the feelings that the play has ended.
