Horace M. Richardson was the 2nd youngest son of the late Joseph Douglas Richardson and Mary Epsie Richardson. He was born on March 21, 1953.
Horace attended the Haliwa School until the closing; he then attended the John Graham High School until his death in 1969. He was a humble, kind, considerate and neat person, if you knew Horace; he was a person everyone loved. Horace was a diligent student and a very good athlete.
He was a member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church and attended Sunday School.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, Native American Dancing and making things. Horace dreamed of playing the guitar and making life better for his people.
He was very proud of his culture and displayed his pride by weaving headbands that he wore with other Indian attire to school.
Horace's life was short lived but he touched and inspired many people.
