Focuses on development of leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills necessary for agency management, including budgeting, personnel, marketing, and risk management. Course Format: This graduate-level course is designed to prepare students for advanced social work practice in human service delivery systems. As such, it builds upon the human behavior, social policy, social work intervention, and research methods foundation courses. This course provides graduate students with the knowledge and skills for management and administration. The course will follow a seminar format and involve lectures followed by class discussions, and class exercises on management issues faced by social work administrators. Case studies will be used to demonstrate current issues in practice. Video and current internet resources will supplement course materials.
