French Club Permission Slip for the Melting Pot
On Friday, December 5, 2014, the French Club will be eating a very early dinner at the Melting Pot at exit 25 (near Chili’s and Zaxby’s, 16625 Statesville Rd, Huntersville, NC 28078). Our four-course meal includes cheese fondue, a fancy salad, meat fondue (shrimp, chicken, and steak) with vegetables and various sauces, chocolate fondue, soda or tea, tax and tip. The all-inclusive price for this meal is $30. The Melting Pot has requested that we pay with one check for the whole group, so please write a check payable to Ana Hummel. All permission slips and money are due by Tuesday, November 25.
Students are responsible for finding their own rides to and from the Melting Pot. Usually it is no trouble to carpool with other students, but students must arrange this themselves. Our dinner starts at 2:45, so we will meet after school in my room (S-9) at 2:20 to discuss expectations at the restaurant and other club business and to double-check directions. The meal will end around 5:30, at which point students again need to find their own ride home (either with another student or have a parent come and pick them up). Students can call for rides from their cell phones when the dessert course starts so parents won’t have to wait.
