Events That Changed America – The Industrial Revolution

This chapter in the book discusses the Industrial Revolution in America. It covers the effect that it had on the lives of everyday people, the relationship between the government and the people, the growth of American cities, and American foreign policy. Some of those topics will be covered in chapter 17 of your text, others will be covered in chapter 18. Your assignment is to read the introduction and the interpretive essay (p.139-157) and answer the following questions. Answer in complete sentences on a separate piece of paper. Be prepared to discuss your answers in class.
