Emotional and Creative Intelligence

Due: 4/17

You will create a MINIUMUM 2 page paper by evaluating a historical figure on their emotional and creative intelligence. The paragraph will consist of 4 paragraphs.

Paragraph 1: Introduce your subject. Do you believe they posses emotional and creative intelligence. More importantly, what is emotional and creative intelligence?

Paragraph 2: Emotional Intelligence. Define the different aspects such as what does it mean to perceive emotions, understand emotions, and regulate emotions (from notes). One by one, explain whether your subject can perceive emotions, understand emotions, and regulate emotions. GIVE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES FROM THEIR LIFE!

Paragraph 3: Creative Intelligence- Define what it means to have imaginative thinking skills, a venturesome personality, and intrinsic motivation. One by one, explain whether your subject has imaginative thinking skills, a venturesome personality, and intrinsic motivation. GIVE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES FROM THEIR LIFE>















Intro (10 points)

(9-10 points)

Does an excellent job of introducing your subject by explaining why you feel he or she is intelligent. In addition, you also do an excellent job of not just defining emotional intelligence, but briefly explains its significance.



(7-8) Points

Somewhat explains why the subject is intelligent. Briefly defines the terms of emotional intelligence and creaticve, but fails to explain its significance



(6 and below)

Fails to introduce the subject as intelligent and does not define emotional and creative intelligence



Emotional Intelligence

( 20 points)



(17-20) Points

Fully Explains all components of emotional intelligence and applies specific examples of the subjects life to make their argument



(14-16)

Somewhat explains all components of emotional intelligence. Application of components to the subjects life could be stronger.



(13 and below)

Fails to explain components of emotional intelligence and apply to subjects life



Creative Intelligence (20points)

17-20) Points

Fully Explains all components of creative intelligence and applies specific examples of the subjects life to make their argument



14-16)

Somewhat explains all components of creative intelligence. Application of components to the subjects life could be stronger.



(13 and below)

Fails to explain components of creative intelligence and apply to subjects life



Conclusion

(10 points)



9-10 points

Does an excellent job of summing up main points. Also explains the importance of emotional and creative intelligence



7-8 points

Some what sums up main points. Explains importance of creative and emotional intelligence, but could be stronger



6 points and below

Fails to sum up main points, and does not explain importance of creative and emotional intelligence.



Here is an outline to help you. I will check to see if this is completed by thursday. Answer these questions on a separate sheet of paper.

  3. What does it mean to regulate emotions? Does your subject do this, explain?

  4. What does it mean to have imaginative thinking skills? Does your subject do this? Explain.

  5. What does it mean to have venturesome personality? Does your subject have this? Explain.

  6. What does it mean to have intrinsic motivation? Does your character have this? Explain.
