~Chinese proverb

1. Listen to some music that relaxes you.

2. Get up and dance!

3. Volunteer at any nonprofit or charitable agency.

4. Sign up for a Yoga class.

5. Read aloud to a child.

6. Go for a bike ride. Remember to wear your helmet.

7. Take a nap.

8. Visit an art museum

9. Take a drive in the country.

10. Avoid caffeine or alcohol.

11. Take a brisk walk through a local park.

12. Make a to-do list and cross things off after they’re done.

13. Keep a journal to write your daily activities,

feelings and thoughts


14. Practice saying “NO” to things you don’t have time for.

15. Call a friend and ask them to be your vent partner.

16. Smile and think happy thoughts.

17. Work ahead and don’t put off assignments until last minute.

18. Do a cardiovascular workout.

19. Take a bubble bath.

20. Take a break from what you’re doing and stretch.

21. Do something you like: a hobby, cooking, walking, anything to take your mind off stress.

22. Go rollerblading or ice-skating.

23. Get up 15 minutes earlier to have some “YOU” time.

24. Draw or paint a picture and focus on what you’re creating not how good it is.

25. Take a trip to the zoo or aquarium.

26. Make a CD of your favorite songs.

27. Take a Tai-Chi or pilates class.

28. Make a list of positive things in your life and hang it next to your desk, bed, door etc.

29. Enjoy a day with nature. Plant a tree, feed the birds or take a hike.

30. Jump rope or play hop-scotch with a friend.

31. Give or ask a friend for a hug.

Rule 1. Don't sweat the small stuff.

Rule 3. If you can't fight or flee, then flow.
