Sir John Crawford Memorial Address:

State Function Centre, Kings Park

Sir John Crawford was a remarkable Australian who contributed at the highest levels to the development of Australia and other countries and was a passionate supporter of international agricultural research for development. The Sir John Crawford Memorial address has been held annually since 1985 with celebrated individuals involved in global food security issues. Most recently this has included Professor Sir John Beddington CMG FRS, UK Government Chief Scientific Adviser and Professor Stephen D Hopper FLS, Director, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. 


The Hon Dr Florence Chenoweth, influential global agriculture development and human rights expert, Africa Prize Winner and Minister for Agriculture in the Republic of Liberia will give The Sir John Crawford Memorial Address in 2013. The address will be followed by a reception in the State Function Centre overlooking the city of Perth and attended by delegates and VIP guests.
