Begin with a “TRENCHES skit” that would set the students up with the “lingo” of WWI soldiers.
We had students do a Rapid Write to self-brainstorm their own ideas about the topics we presented to them and the modified RAFT that they were provided
Students got into their small groups and worked on research for developing a great visual presentation (visualization) of their chosen topic
