BBC Radio 4. Time now for Sunday Worship. Thousands are gathering at Cofton Park in Birmingham to prepare for the beatification of Cardinal Newman by the Pope later this morning. We go live to Cofton Park now for a service of preparation led by Bernadette Kearney. She is joined by David McGough, the Catholic auxiliary Bishop of Birmingham, David Urquart, Anglican Bishop of Birmingham and Christopher Cocksworth, the Anglican Bishop of Coventry. We join the lively celebrations as the choirs and congregation sing a contemporary setting of Psalm one hundred and seventeen – ‘This day was made by the Lord.’.
