Review Questions: 1) 47 yo male with a history of current IVDU presents to you with back pain. History reveals bicycle accident fours months prior, sustaining a right posterior rib fracture. He continued to have back pain after that, which was managed conservatively. Plain films one month ago were completely normal. When you see him he is complaining of severe back pain. Vitals are completely normal, and labs are notable for a normal wbc and normal esr/crp. Exam is notable for mild tenderness over lumbar spine, but a thorough neurological exam is normal.
