Today, you will read about a successful “Black Town” where black people were self-sufficient without integrating into white society. The website “Little Africa” stated that the successful town known as “Black Wall Street “provides an example of African-Americans working together making a tremendous difference in their lives and their community without the help of others. However, this success did not last long after this prosperous town was physically destroyed by jealous whites in 1921.

Your task is to read and gather important information regarding the Tulsa Oklahoma Riots of 1921 that destroyed a very thriving black community.
