Increase the Challenge

  1. To help you in your Year 7 mid-year exam create some revision materials (posters, mind maps, revision flash cards) on the methods of control used by King William I and people’s different interpretations of King John.

  1. Make a list of ten things that were different about life in Medieval times compared to life today.

  1. Write about the life of a medieval villain (peasant). Explain how their life would differ from the life of a modern person.

Increase the Challenge

  1. Write a 50 word dictionary definition of the ‘Black Death’.

  1. What was the Black Death? Produce a detailed account of its symptoms and how the disease was spread.

  1. Produce a poster which uses both words and pictures to show what medieval people thought caused the Black Death and how it should be treated.

  1. Many Medieval people failed to live into old age? Write a P.E.E paragraph explaining why you think this was the case.

  1. List ten things that changed in England because of the Black Death.

  1. Write a P.E.E paragraph explaining the effects of the Black Death on England.
