Monday, January 21:

Make-Up Day—finish any assignments not completed during teacher’s sick leave.
Tuesday, January 22:

Frameworks: H6.8.32, H6.8.39

CCSS: RH8.2, RH8.4, RH8.7, WH8.7

Goal and Objectives: Student s will use ipads to research terms related to the expansion of European imperialism into Africa, Asia, Australia and Latin America. (imperialism, nationalism, protectorate, sphere of influence, and extraterritoriality)

Assignments: Sub will pass out ipads and have students research the above terms.
Wednesday, January 23:

Frameworks: G3.8.1

CCSS: RH8.2, RH8.4, RH8.7, WH8.7

Goal and Objectives: Student s will use ipads to define push-pull factors/ industrialization. They will then examine the effects on various regions.

Assignments: Sub will pass out ipads and have students research the above terms. They will then write an essay of the effects of push-pull factors such as (disease, resources, technology and industrialization) on various regions such as the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia.
Thursday, January 24:

Frameworks: H6.8.40

CCSS: RH8.2, RH8.4, RH8.7, WH8.7

Goal and Objectives: Student s will use ipads to investigate Asian-American relations prior to World War II. They will research ( Open Door Policy, Boxer Rebellion, Gentlemen's Agreement, Manchuria, and Rearmament)

Assignments: Sub will pass out ipads and have the students define the above terms and write a brief essay on the relationship between Asia and America prior to WWII.
Friday, January 25:

Frameworks: H6.8.40

CCSS: RH8.2, RH8.4, RH8.7, WH8.7

Goal and Objectives: Students will read a short book on how things were here in the United States during World War II. (women’s role in the war effort, rationing, women in the work place, how industry changed, recycling efforts, etc. )

Assignments: Sub will pass out books (they have different names BUT THE INFORMATION IS THE SAME…JUST IN A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT ORDER)Students will have quiz on the information on Monday.
