In the Islamic religion they believe in Monotheism, which means that they only believe in one God. In the Islamic religion, the one God is Allah. Allah is omnipotent (All powerful), omnibenevolent (Completely good), and omnipresent (With us all the time). Allah takes care of others needs as well. Allah was the creator of a perfectly ordered universe. The Hebrew name of Allah was Elohim. Allah is here with everyone all the time according to Muslim’s.

Muslims believe that after death Allah will return to them. Muslims also believe in Angels, and Messengers. Angels are not physical beings, but are always in contact with humans. There had been 124 000 messengers and prophets and the Qur’an mentions some of their names as well. The Qur’an is a holy book that the Muslims use to read the words of Allah. The final prophet was Muhammad. Muhammad the founder of Islam was reversed as “The seal of the Prophets”. Muhammad wasn’t like Allah; he was just an ordinary man. http://www.hf.uib.no/i/religion/popularikonografi/bilder/01a.jpghttp://qasimrashid.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/dsc02620.jpg?w=600&h=400

The leaders of Muslims were the Imams. Shiites believed that 12 Imams were given special and unique powers from Allah. Shiites were the party of Ali. The first Imam was Ali, and the final Imam was Mahdi who mysteriously disappeared in 880CE. One of the leaders of the Imam’s was called the Khalifa’s who were the first of the leaders. Khalifa’s were ordinary men who led the nation with strength and wisdom. Later as the empire grew Khalifa’s became very rich so in the 9th century, Sufis took over as the leaders. At first the people despised them because they thought the Sufis were rebels but later respected them.
