Activities:

  1. Antebellum Reform Movements Review: Students will watch 3 brief video clips and answer the following questions: “How did these social movements change society and politics? How did the 2nd Great Awakening influence these movements?”

  2. Document Analysis: Students will analyze documents from the Antebellum period.




Materials: Document Packet, Video Questions

Follow Up/HW: STUDY FOR CHAPTER 11 QUIZ

Activities:

  1. Thesis Practice: Students will complete document analysis from Monday and write their own thesis answering the question “To what extent did the Second Great Awakening influence the reform movements of the period 1810-1848?”

Activities:

  1. Introduce DBQ Chunks: Students will review a document that gives instructions on how to write a chunked paragraph for a DBQ Essay.

  2. Chunking Practice: Students will practiced writing a chunked paragraph for a DBQ Essay.



Materials: Photo Essay Instructions, Visuals, Review Sheet
