Otto Christian Blöch, was in 1740, the West Indian-Guinea Company's Chief Surgeon on St. Croix, where he had been for a year and a half.1

Mathias Bloch married on 23 October 1777 in the St. Croix Lutheran Church to Johanna Maria Coopman.2

In 1781, he was the Manager of the Hospital.3

1. Hans Adam Bloch was born on 2 August 1778 and was baptized in the St. Croix Lutheran Church on 21 August 1778.4

He was buried on 25 November 1781, 3 years old.5
2. Johannes Block was born in about 1780 and was baptized in the St. Croix Lutheran Church on 31 March 1780.6

He died on 12 August 1781, 17 months old.7


3. Anna Frederica Block was born in about 1781 and was baptized in the St. Croix Lutheran Church on 6 December 1781.8

Johan Frid. Bloch was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in about 1780. 9

He received his medical degree from Copenhagen. 10

In 1816, he was serving as the Island Doctor (Landsphysicus) on St. Croix, and was resident in Christiansted, having been on island for 7 months.11

Adam H. Block, who was a First Lieutenant, was married at home by the Pastor of the Danish Lutheran Church on 1 January 1818, to Jemima Næser.12

Block, Math. (1) [Sergeant Block (2)] , at the Frigate Accra auction 14-29 September 1781:

Purchased on September 14th, 1781, 2 girls, no. 270, who was 4’3½”, for 180 rd. and no. 313, who was sick on Sept. 7th, but “fresh” on Sept. 10th, 3’3 1/2”, for 170 rd., and a boy, no. 328, in the hospital from the 1st to 14th of September, for 80 rd. (2), and took out a mortgage with the Guineiske Handels Direction, on September 14, 1781, for 360 rd., for 2 girls (1).-------------
