  4. How did being surrounded by the Western and Eastern deserts benefit the early Egyptians?

  5. How did having the cataracts on the Nile River protect the Egyptians?



-What major event happened that was considered the real beginning of ancient Egypt?

  1. During the Pre-dynastic period of Egypt, would you consider the people to be polytheistic?

  2. King Narmer unified the upper and lower parts of Egypt in 3100 BC. Why was this an important time in Egyptians history?

-How did the Egyptian government and religion compare to Mesopotamia? How was it similar and how was it different?
