Period 4, 6, & 7

Directions: The following is a schedule of due dates and work days in class. All digital submissions are due at the beginning of the school day 8:00 AM. All hard copies are due at the beginning of the period.

Building a Thesis Statement” worksheet

  • This worksheet will help you focus your research into a thesis statement.

  • This will be completed by EACH member of the group.

  • It will be submitted using GOOGLE CLASSROOM

  • Group members will then compare their thesis’s in class and collaboratively establish one




Thursday January 29th (D-Day)

Worth: 10 pts

Informal Peer Review

  • An informal peer review of each member of you group assessing collaboration and individual work.

  • This will be completed by EACH member of the group.

  • It will be submitted using GOOGLE CLASSROOM




Wednesday February 4th (D-Day)

(Work Day)

Worth: 15 pts

Rough Draft

  • Each member of the group will bring in two clean copies of the rough draft.

  • During class you will be split up into different groups and asked to provide verbal and written feedback.

Tuesday February 10th (D-Day)

Worth: 115 pts

Final Paper

  • The final paper should be shared with mccabem@northernhighlands.org

  • No hard copy is needed.

  • It should be submitted to turnitin.com

  • ONE rubric per GROUP with all the group member’s names

Tuesday February 24th (D-Day)

Two Items Due

Presentation Worth: 40 pts

Final Peer Review Worth: 10 pts

Thesis Defense Presentation

  • The final thesis statement presentation is due.

  • Only a hard copy is required.

  • It should be printed out in hand out form (6 slides to page.

  • Each group member’s name should be written in the top left corner.

Final Peer Review
