The Wheel of Life

The eight sections in the Wheel represent various aspects of your life. Seeing the center of the wheel as 0 and the outer edges as 10, rank your level of satisfaction with each life area by assigning it a rank on a scale of 0 to 10, then drawing an arc to create a new outer edge. This new wheel represents the current state of balance in your life. If this were a real wheel, how bumpy would the ride be?

Ask yourself:

In which areas are you most satisfied? Which area most needs your attention at the moment? What areas need work?

Develop a plan:

  1. What are the changes that you are committed to making long term? What are you committed to doing this week or today to start the process?

  2. What resources can you use to support your plan?

  3. How will you know you have been successful?

Make your goals SMART: specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely. And, importantly, find a way to be accountable for your goal-related activities.

Decisions about how to balance your life are your decision. Only you can discern then take the actions to achieve the life you truly want to live.
