"Genghis Khan." Wikipedia. Wikimedia Foundation, 16 Nov. 2014. Web. 16 Nov. 2014

This painting displays 8 men riding in horses that are fighting against each other. Since 5 men are alive and are killing the other 3 men this could suggest that they are they are significantly winning the war or just the battle, also since they aren’t riding the horses without any hands this could also hint that they were skilled horse riders. The men seem to have curved swords this could mean that they had the technology to make new more effective swords. There are no left questions it is clear what is happening and who is being more dominant in terms of battle. I could use this painting to explain how the Mongols fought in battle and how Genghis Kahn led his powerful army.

"Western Xia." Wikipedia. Wikimedia Foundation, 11 Dec. 2014. Web. 16 Nov. 2014.

This map is a political map, it displays a key so you can identify the dynasty’s at the time of the battle. This map is a primary source because it shows every single dynasty near Xi Xia around 1227.This map displays the territory that Genghis Kahn was able to conquer with his army. It supports the information I have read by showing where Xi Xia dynasty is located which also gives us a better understanding on how much land was conquered. 2 things that I would as to show is the rout which Genghis Kahn and his army took and also to display the victories and defeats of the Mongolian army. I can use this in my presentation to show Genghis Kahn’s last battle as this is the battle he dies in due to past injuries.

"10 Things You May Not Know About Genghis Khan." A&E Television Networks, 29 Apr. 2014. Web. 13 Nov. 2014

This was an ariticle about Genghis kahn. It did not really have a thesis because it was just facts about the leader and not an actual story or anything like that. This article was created april 29th 2014 by Evan Andrews. This was created to inform people of interesting things that you may or may not know about the great leader. My number 1 most interesting fact says “according to a famouse 2003 genetic study around one in 200 living men carry a y chromosome that may have originated with the great kahn himself”. Second there is how he is “responsible for the deaths of about 40 million people”. Lastly how nobody knows where the leader is buried legend says that people who attended the funeral where all murdered so they would not have any evidence of where he was buried. I have no questions about this article, however this is a very important article I can use in my project in order to grab the judges attention and make my presentation more interesting.

Ramírez, Susan E., Peter N. Stearns, Samuel S. Wineburg, and Steven A. Goldberg. Holt World History: Human Legacy. Austin, TX: Holt, Rinehart and Winston, 2008. Print.

In this picture we can see Genghis Kahn and his men getting ready to head out somewhere. We can see how his villages were organized and how their tents were made. Since he had white horse tale we can assume that he was in a time of peace since it was not a black horse tail. Since there is a scout in the picture we can see that he must have been getting informed by a scout. And we can also see their weaponry and how advanced they were as far as military goes. This photo does not have a date nor does it show who it was by. I have no questions about this painting because it is highly specific on what it shows you and it tells you the meaning of certain things. I can use this in my project to show how Genghis Kahn’s towns or villages were made of and how they were organized.

"Genghis Khan." History. History,com, n.d. Web. 13 Nov. 2014

This article was about gengis kahn’s military campaigns. “The thesis is statement is “Genghis’ armies took over the neighboring tribes and he soon ruler of Mongolia”. This document was created November 13th 2014 but there seems to be no author on the article. It was created for the history channel website, and for the purpose to inform people on his greatest military achievements. The main points are when he set off to take over china, and how he took over the xi xia the qin and the na-chung, and finally when he died in august. There aren’t any questions about the article covered all of his major achievements even his marriages. I can use this article in my project to tell people an insight on all of his military campaigns.
