Lexington Herald, Thursday, July 3, 1930:

George Redmon Dies. Former Bourbon Man Will Be Buried Today. (Paris, Ky., July 2) ---- Word was received here today of the death of George Lee Redmon, which occurred at a Louisville hospital last night. Mr. Redmon was a native of Bourbon county, the son of George and Susan Jones Redmon, and was born at North Middletown, this county, on May 6, 1867. He was educated in the schools of this county and moved to Louisville many years ago.


He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nina Darnell Redmon; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Dredgnstagt and Mrs. Russell Morris Green, of Louisville, and one brother, John J. Redmon, of this city. Funeral services will be held at the grave in the North Middletown cemetery Thursday. The Rev. Frank M. Tinder, pastor of the North Middletown Christian church, will officiate at the grave. Mr. Redmon was an uncle of Dr. Lee Collins Redmon and William Redmon, of Lexington, and Hiram M. Redmon, of this city.

Notes for JASON A REDMON:

The son, Jason A., was born August 15, 1889, and is managing his father's farm. He entered the service of his country in 1.917 and was one of the gallant officers of the American Expeditionary Force. He went overseas as a lieutenant in the Three Hundred and Twenty-fifth Field Artillery and later was promoted to the rank of captain of cavalry. [Bodley, Vol. 4, p. 2691

Paris---Jason A. Redmon, 88, of the Redmon Road, Paris, died 1:40 a.m. Sunday at the V.A. Hospital in Lexington after an extended illness. He was a retired Farmer, a native of Bourbon County, a son of the late Castleman N. and Sally Beth Redmon. He was a graduate of Paris High School, attended Transylvania University, was a member of the First Christian Church in Paris, a Veteran of World War I, where he held the Rank of Lt. Colonel of the U.S. Calvary. He was a 50 year member and past Commander of Bourbon Post No. 30 American Legion and was a member of the Reserves Officers Association of the United States. Survived by his wife, Mrs. Leona C. Redmon, Bourbon County; one son J.A. Castleman Redmon, Bourbon County-, one sister, Mrs. Rebecca Calvert, Lexington, three nieces and two nephews. Funeral Services 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Paris, by Rev. James Seale. Interment in the Paris Cemetery. Visitation from 4-9 p.m. today.


His grave in Paris Cemetery has a marker for World War I veteran.

Death Ends Career. Long Illness Proves Fatal to Dr. L.C. Redmon, Lexington Specialist. End Comes to Dr. L.C. Redmon. Specialist Dies at His Home in Lexington Following Long Illness; Had Won National Recognition. Funeral Will Be Sunday ---- Dr. Lee Collins Redmon, 48 years of age, whose reputation as a surgeon and specialist in obstetrics and gynecology brought him national recognition and a fellowship in the American College of Surgeons, died yesterday morning at 7:15 o'clock at his home, 210 South Ashland avenue, after a long illness. He has been confined to his home since last August.


Surviving Dr. Redmon are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Nichols Redmon; a son, John J. Redmon; two brothers, Hiram S. Redmon, of Paris, and William, of Lexington, and his father, John J. Redmon, of Lexington. Dr. Redmon was born in Bourbon county on his father's farm near North Middletown February 18, 1885. His mother was the late Mrs. Lou Bell Collins Redmon. Dr. Redmon attended the public schools in Bourbon county and in 1903 was graduated at the Kentucky Classical and Business College at North Middletown
His medical degree was awarded by the University of Louisville in 1907. He came to Lexington and served his internship at the Good Samaritan hospital, later taking advanced work in Chicago medical schools and clinics. He engaged in general practice in Lexington until 1918, when he began to specialize in obstetrics, gynecology and surgery, becoming one of the outstanding men in his profession.
Dr. Redmon was a past president of the Fayette County Medical Society and a leading member of the Kentucky State, American Medical, Southern Medical and Mississippi Valley Medical associations. He also served as medical director of the Lexington public schools from 1913 to 1915. Dr. Redmon's qualities of leadership also extended outside his profession. He was a past president and one of the charter members of the Lexington Kiwanis Club. He also was a member and deacon of Central Christian church of Lexington, a Mason, Shriner, Knight Templar and Elk.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the North Middletown Christian church. Dr. A.W. Fortune, pastor of the Central Christian church, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Redmon family lot in the North Middletown cemetery. Pallbearers will be the following medical colleagues of Dr. Redmon: Dr. Thomas M. Marks, Dr. Stanley Park, Dr. Harry G. Herring, Dr. Jesse P. Warren, Dr. Charles. A Vance, Dr. Samuel B. Marks, Dr. Ernest B. Bradley, Dr. Charles C. Garr, Dr. John C. Lewis and Dr. William N. Offutt.
Lee Collins married Sarah Elizabeth NICHOLS.

123. Hiram S. REDMON. Born in January 1888. Hiram S. died in Bourbon County, Kentucky on February 11, 1971; he was 83.
Lexington Herald, Friday, February 12, 1971:

Ex-Auditor in Bourbon Succumbs (Paris Ky.)---Hiram S. Redmon, 83, who retired in January after serving more than 30 years as Bourbon County auditor and more than 50 years as an employee of the county, died Thursday in the Bourbon County Hospital. He suffered a stroke several days ago. He was educated in Bourbon County schools and was a member of the First Christian Church. He had been a member of Paris Lodge No. 2, F&AM, for more than 60 years.


Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Helton H. Pribble, Demossville; two sons, Bryan C. Redmon, Benardsville, N.J., and Hiram E. Redmon, Ashland; a brother, William Redmon, Lexington; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in the HintonTurner Funeral Home. Burial will be in the North Middletown Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home where friends may call after noon today.

The body is at the funeral home where friends may call after 3 p.m. today. The Bourbon County Courthouse will close at noon Friday for the services.
