He’s from a wealthy family in the mid-west, who are all dead now. That’s how he got his money. He went to Oxford because all of his family went there. He lived in Europe for a while before the war. He was a decorated hero in the war.

4. What “matter” did Gatsby have Jordan Baker discuss with Nick?

He wants Nick to set up a meeting with him and Daisy. He wants her to come to Nick’s house so that she can see his house.
5. Who is Meyer Wolfsheim

He’s a friend of Gatsby—he’s a gambler. Fixed the 1919 World Series.
6. What does Mr. Wolfsheim tell Nick about Gatsby?

That Gatsby was the type of guy you would want to take home to your mother and your sister.
7. What does Jordan tell Nick about Daisy, Gatsby, and Tom?

Daisy and Gatsby were in love. Gatsby went off to war and Daisy married Tom. Tom cheated on Daisy on their honeymoon.
