Students are required to attach the following information to the Parking Permit Request:
No application will be approved if a student has not returned text books, library books, or, has not paid library fines or paid for lost text books.
**Academic ineligibility, truancy issues or discipline issues WILL put you on probation for a period of time to be determined by the administration. **
FRESHMEN, SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS
ARE NOT PERMITTED TO APPLY FOR OR PARK THEIR CARS ON THE JOHN JAY CAMPUS.
PARKING PRIVILIGE APPLICATION
READ THESE RULES THOROUGHLY, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM.
Student drivers WILL maintain acceptable attendance and avoid illegal lateness (NOT more than three or more times per quarter.)
Student drivers WILL maintain academic eligibility. If you are on the academic ineligibility list you will use travel sheets until you are academically eligible again.
Student drivers WILL maintain acceptable discipline.
Student drivers WILL adhere to the campus speed limit of 10 mph and WILL yield the right of way to pedestrians and school buses. NO speeding in, out or through the lot.
Student vehicles will only be parked in student parking areas. Student cars are NOT ALLOWED IN ANY FACULTY PARKING (faculty parking has yellow lines, STUDENT PARKING HAS WHITE LINES.)
Student cars are prohibited in all fire lanes (front of school and cafeteria/gym areas) before and after school.
Student drivers will ALWAYS display their sticker on the left side of their front windshield, just above their inspection sticker.
If a temporary pass is issued, student drivers will ALWAYS display it prominently on their dashboard.
Students must lock and leave the car immediately upon arrival. Students will leave campus at the approved dismissal time. Students should keep a copy of their schedule on them at all times.
Student drivers will not leave campus illegally, or provide rides for others to do so.
Student drivers WILL follow the specific directions of staff members on duty in the parking lot.
Students must follow all traffic regulations off campus in the geographic area of John Jay. A referral of reckless driving will result in contact with the East Fishkill Police Department.
IF a student needs assistance in finding a parking spot they must report to the staff member on duty first. Do not create your own spot.
Permits are NEVER to be exchanged/shared or given to anyone else.
Drivers are NOT allowed to be continually late, or bring others to school late.
Student cars may be subject to search as deemed necessary by administration.
If your car is double parked, parked illegally or found in faculty parking you will be asked to move your car immediately.
Warning stickers will be used as necessary. They are easily removed with Windex.
If you park with no permit, your license plate number will be given to the East Fishkill Police.
These rules are for the safety of all of our students at John Jay High School. Failure to comply with any of the above mentioned rules will result in consequences as per the WCSD Code of Conduct including but not limited to temporary/permanent suspension of driving privileges on the John Jay Campus. Please see the code of conduct for additional details on parking and towing.

If I violate these regulations, I may receive a warning sticker, face consequences according to the WCSD Code of Conduct, have my parking permit suspended for a period of time and/or may lose my parking privileges indefinitely.
